The Prague Congress Centre in the Czech Republic hosted, from 2 to 6 October, the 17th World Road Congress which, is organized by the World Road Association (PIARC) every four years. The aim being to share road infrastructure and road transport techniques and experiences worldwide.
In this edition, the congress focused mainly on the design, construction, maintenance and operation of roads, road safety, resilience to climate change, sustainable mobility and innovation. The event brought together the key players in the sector, including international public administrations, associations, consultants, contractors and suppliers of different types of equipment for the design, construction and operation of roads.
The TYPSA Group was present with a booth in which TYPSA and RAUROS, shared their main achievements and the state of their technology in the field of design and management of the operation and conservation of roads, with the presence of Francisco Silvestre, director of the Roads Division, and Fernando Varela, CEO of RAUROS.
Fernando also presented two posters showing the work carried out in Mexico and Panama in the management of their road networks, a presentation within the technical session of the Management committee of Road Assets, and led a workshop that was later chosen as the best technical session of the congress, receiving an award at the closing ceremony.
