At TYPSA Group, we are aware of the significance of the problem that climate change creates today, and of the impact of greenhouse gases (GHG).
Through a firm business commitment to the fight against climate change, we have developed two main climate strategies:
On the one hand, since 2013 we have been calculating the carbon footprint our activity as a consulting and engineering firm generates. We calculate and verify emissions from activities in Spain which fall into ISO 14064 Scopes 1, 2 and 3. In addition, at TYPSA, we register all our carbon footprints in the National Carbon Footprint, Offset and Carbon Dioxide Absorption Projects Register at Spain’s Ministry for Ecological Transition. Moreover, we were the first engineering firm in Spain to receive the carbon footprint calculation and reduction stamp in 2016. We currently continue to reduce our GHG emissions, as the stamp obtained for 2019 demonstrates, and have so far managed to cut back emissions by more than 10% since 2013.
On the other hand, by leveraging our Environmental Consulting and Assessment services, we ensure that the climate change variable becomes an integral part of all project phases, both to mitigate GHG emissions and to incorporate climate change adaptation measures in our projects, producing resilient infrastructure as a result.
