INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION
In 2024, the Group was ranked No 44 on the ENR (Engineering News Record) list of top international design firms by export volume. In the different sectors it was ranked as follows:

Recognition of the Madrid Metro extension, carried out between 1995 and 1999, as one of the 50 best tunnel projects in the world
At the 2024 World Tunnel Congress in Shenzhen China, the ITA (International Tunnelling and Underground Space) association, on its 50 anniversary, selected the 50 best tunnel designs (50 Iconic Tunnels) built over the past 50 years. With 56.3km of new lines, of which 38km are tunnels, the infrastructure hosts 38 new stations and 4 new connections to the commuter train network. TYPSA participated significantly during this period, intervening in the design and supervision of 32km of lines and 15 stations, which include: Design of El Lago to Principe Pío Line 10 underground section; detailed design of Line 7 extension from Guzmán el Bueno to Virgen de la Paloma; supervision of Line 4 extension from Esperanza to Virgen de la Paloma; design review and monitoring and supervision of quality assurance for the works of Line 9 extension to Arganda; supervision of Line 8 extension from Campo de las Naciones to Barajas Airport.
Recognition of the underground section of the M30 city ring road in Madrid, as one of the 50 best tunnel projects in the world
At the 2024 World Tunnel Congress in Shenzhen China, the ITA (International Tunnelling and Underground Space) association, on its 50 anniversary, selected the 50 best tunnel designs (50 Iconic Tunnels) built over the past 50 years. TYPSA played a significant part in this project, and highlights include: Detailed design of the South By-Pass for the underground section of the M-30, which connects the intersection of the A-3 and the Avenida del Mediterráneo with the intersection of the A-42 on Prague Bridge, through two tunnels with a length of 4.3km each, excavated with EPB tunnelling machine of inner diameter 15.2m, which was world record holder in 2005 for size and power; construction supervision of the underground section between Prague Bridge and the South Intersection, with 6.2km of cut&cover tunnel; construction supervision of the improvement works on the intersection of the M-30 with the A-3, with 2.2km of cut&cover tunnel; drafting of the Special Plan, design and construction supervision of the Madrid Rio project over the underground section of the M-30.
Recognition of the Porto Maravilha Tunnel Complex in Rio de Janeiro, as one of the 50 best tunnel projects in the world
At the 2024 World Tunnel Congress in Shenzhen China, the ITA (International Tunnelling and Underground Space) association, on its 50 anniversary, selected the 50 best tunnel designs (50 Iconic Tunnels) built over the past 50 years. A new road system will connect the area between Santos Dumont airport and the area of the bus station, in an area of 500ha. The system is composed of 5 main tunnels: two called Túneles de la Autopista, the Via Binária tunnel, the Morro da Saúde tunnel and the Providência tunnel, with a total length of 8km, built partly with the New Austrian Method and partly in cut&cover. The subsidiary ENGECORPS carried out the design and construction supervision.

International Milestone RCC Project Award.
The Enciso dam located in La Rioja Spain has received this award jointly from the Spanish National Committee of Large Dams (SPANCOLD) and the Chinese National Committee on Large Dams (CHINCOLD). The significant technical achievements achieved in the construction of this Roller-Compacted Concrete (RCC) dam have been recognised. TYPSA receives this award together with developers, designers and builders, for its continued involvement with Construction Management Support Services since the beginning of the works in 1999.
ALBERT VILALTA AWARD FOR THE BEST CATALAN INFRASTRUCTURE 2022 AWARDED BY THE CATALAN INFRASTRUCTURE ADVISORY COUNCIL
Plaza de las Glorias tunnel in Barcelona winner at the 7th “Infrastructure Night” as the best integration of a more sustainable and avant-garde urban infrastructure. TYPSA has been recognized for the construction supervision throughout the project, together with its partners.
BEST NON-RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE AWARD 2023, ASPRIMA-SIMA
At the 20th edition of its Annual Awards, the Association of Real Estate Developers of Madrid ASPRIMA and SIMA has chosen Torre Caleido for the best non-residential award 2023. TYPSA participates in this award together with developers, architects, and builders, working on the Due Diligence, the design-build supervision and support services on site.
BEST URBAN REGENERATION DEVELOPMENT 2023 AWARDED BY ASPRIMA – SIMA
The Association of Real Estate Developers of Madrid ASPRIMA and SIMA has recognised, in the 20th edition of the awards, the Railway Integration of Logroño as the Best Urban Regeneration Development 2023. TYPSA receives this award together with developers, architects, partners and builders, for their contribution with construction supervision in all phases of the project, including the construction of the new railway station, the new bus station, the great dome and the Felipe VI Park.
10th Segovia Aqueduct Awards
The project “High-Speed Access to Galicia – Bringing Territories Closer” has been awarded the 2023 Segovia Aqueduct Award for Public Works and Environment by the Fundación Caminos, in collaboration with the Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers. The award recognizes the merits of TYPSA for all its contributions throughout this extensive project, with special mention for the construction project of the sections: Ourense-Santiago (Ourense-Lalin subsection), Zamora- Lubián (Cernadilla-Pedralba de la Pradería subsection) and Lubián-Ourense (Cerdedelo-Riobó subsection) totaling 45 km. Also of relevance is the construction supervision carried out, the highlights of which include: the section from Madrid to Segovia (subsection of 28 km Soto del Real-Segovia) includes one of the two Guadarrama tunnel tubes; railway infrastructure on the Segovia-Valdestillas subsection, 110 km; the 6.4 km Padornelo tunnel on the Olmedo-Medina-Zamora-Puebla de Sanabria-Lubian-Ourense stretch, the Porto-Miaman subsection with the 1.8 km Seiro tunnel and the Miaman-Ponte Ambia subsection; the track assembly for the 56.2 km section from Pedralba de la Praderia (Zamora) - Campobecerros (Ourense); urban integration and upgrade of the Orense Railway Network on section Taboadela-Rante tunnel, highlighting the 3.4 km tunnel.
12th San Telmo Awards
The Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers in Galicia awarded the 2023 San Telmo Award to the project “The High-Speed Access to Galicia, bringing territories closer”. TYPSA is part of the winning team having provided supervision of the works on the Madrid - Galicia HSL, with a notable contribution in the track assembly for the 56.2 km section from Pedralba de la Pradería (Zamora) - Campobecerros (Ourense).

IRISH CONCRETE SOCIETY AWARD FOR BEST INFRASTRUCTURE IN 2022
The Irish Concrete Society has chosen the N22 road viaducts crossing over the Laney and Sullane rivers as best infrastructure of 2022, at the 40th edition of its Annual Awards. The S26 - Laney Riverbridge viaduct has a single beam span of 49.90 m. These beams are currently the longest in Ireland and the United Kingdom. The S28 - Sullane Riverbridge viaduct has two spans with similar beam lengths (48.75 m), and brings the added challenge of being an almost 100 m long integral bridge. TYPSA participates in this award, together with developers and builders, as detailed designer.
Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) National Excellence Award in the Transportation category
The I-15 Highway project won the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) National Excellence Award in the Transportation category. Detailed design of the 24 km section. Highway improvement with two new express lanes - High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes – in each direction.
FIDIC AWARDS
The International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) 2022 Outstanding Project of the Year Award-Medium was presented at the Conference in Geneva to Engecorps TYPSA Group for the Viaduct V3 of the Duplication of the Tamoios Highway in Serra do Mar State Park in Brazil.
FIDIC AWARDS
The International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) presented the FIDIC Awards 2022 at its annual conference held in Geneva. TYPSA Group won the Award of Special Recognition for its detailed design and construction engineering services for Wiwilí Bridge over the river Coco in Nicaragua.
INFRASTRUCTURE ADVISORY COUNCIL OF CATALONIA BEST CATALAN INFRASTRUCTURE AWARD 2021
Albages Dam - best infrastructure award winner at the 6th ‘Infrastructure Night’ symbolising the area's water transformation improvement. TYPSA’s contribution to the award-winning team’s success included construction management and supervision services, technical support, and environmental monitoring as well as preparation of the dam emergency action plan, first fill plan and technical archive.
ACHE STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING AWARDS
TYPSA Group has won two awards in the 6th Edition of the ACHE Spanish Structural Engineering Association Awards: Buildings Award: Wanda Metropolitano Stadium, designed by Group subsidiary MC2 Estudio de Ingeniería. Innovation Award: Rande Bridge Expansion – AP9 motorway in Vigo, designed by Group subsidiary MC2 Estudio de Ingeniería.
INTERNATIONAL AWARD AT THE 3RD EDITION RAIL ANALYSIS INNOVATION & EXCELLENCE SUMMIT IN INDIA
Rail Analysis India has presented TYPSA the award for Excellence in Project Management Consulting for the Kanpur Metro Project in India, comprising the 9 km Kanpur – Motijheel secion with 9 elevated stations and a maitenance depot. The project was delivered in just 25 months, setting a new construction record in India.
Honour Award for Transportation in the ACEC 2022 Engineering Excellence Awards
The American Council of Engineering Companies of California (ACEC CA) awarded TYPSA Group subsidiary AZTEC the Transportation Honour Award in the 2022 Engineering Excellence Awards. AZTEC won the award for the I-15 Express Lanes Project, delivered through a design-build process. The project consisted of the addition of two new express toll lanes in both directions within the median for a distance of 24 km in Riverside County. Developments included widening 11 bridges during live traffic on one of the busiest transportation arteries in California, making this California’s first intersection of multiple express toll lanes. The project also won an ACEC National Recognition Award 2022 for its exceptional engineering excellence.

UPM ANNUAL RESEARCH AND INNOVATION AWARD 2021
TYPSA won the award in the category for ‘Public-Private Partnership for Sustainable Development Goals in collaboration with UPM’. The award recognises the uninterrupted relationship that TYPSA and UPM (Polytechnic University of Madrid) have developed over a period of more than 13 years. In that time, the partners have carried out various institutional development activities, in particular promoting education and teaching at the faculties of Civil and Agricultural Engineering at Lake Albert University in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This public-private collaboration in an area of Africa with very limited access to quality education significantly contributes to meeting SDGs, in particular SDG 4.
‘Andalusian Engineering Works 2021’ Best Infrastructure Award from the Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla Chapter of the Institution of Civil Engineers
The award went to Málaga Metro in recognition of the project’s excellent concept, design and development. TYPSA has been involved in the project on an ongoing basis since the outset in 2005 and now shares the prize with developers, designers and contractors. Works to be highlighted include construction supervision of the concession contract works for Lines 1 and 2; detailed designs for the infrastructure and urban development of the Guadalmedina-Malagueta section of lines 1 and 2, and the line 3 Malagueta-El Palo section; study of alternatives for the extension of Line 2 north to Ciudad Jardin; construction supervision of the Renfe – Guadalmedina section of Lines 1 and 2, and engineering services provided to the Malaga Metro Concession Company.
Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards 2021 awarded by ACI (American Concrete Institute) in the infrastructure category
Second place awarded to the Viaduct V3 in the duplication of Tomoios Highway, in the difficult to access Serra do Mar State Park. The curved viaduct was designed with a prestressed concrete box deck for a 125 m central span, and construction by balanced cantilever method. A temporary cable crane was installed for use during the construction stage, eliminating the need for a service road and drastically reducing the environmental impact. TYPSA Group is part of the award-winning team, together with developers and constructors, thanks to Group subsidiary ENGECORPS’ contribution to the final design.

The Pan American Federation of Consultants has awarded its Grand Award for Excellence to ‘Madrid M30 – MRio. An urban transformation project’. TYPSA shares the award with Intecsa – Inarsa and Acciona's engineering team for its part in the design and construction supervision.
FEPAC 50th ANNIVERSARY AWARDS 2021
The Pan American Federation of Consultants has awarded its Grand Award for Excellence to the Rande Bridge Widening Project. TYPSA Group subsidiary MC2 received the award for the Design and Construction Supervision.

The LIFE CERSUDS (Ceramic Sustainable Urban Drainage System) project won the ‘Product’ discipline award in the ‘Public / Retail’ category. The Urban Sustainable Drainage System uses permeable ceramic paving, which helps to recharge aquifers. The award is internationally recognised as a seal of design excellence and an example of urban resilience to climate change. TYPSA Group shares this award with the Institute of Ceramic Technology (ITC-AIECE), Group subsidiary GBM having provided technical services to implement the project.
STOCKHOLM EXTENDED METRO PROJECT WINS CEEQUAL CLIENT & OUTLINE INTERIM AWARD WITH AN EXCELLENT SUSTAINABILITY RATING (80.1%)
Whilst building a metro in a densely populated urban environment is a major challenge, this exciting project is considered essential to support the sustainable growth of the rapidly developing region and will deliver a significant increase in Stockholm's public transport capacity. TYPSA and its consortium partners are proud to be part of the winning team as the engineering provider.
MATILDE UCELAY AWARD FROM THE SPANISH MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT, MOBILITY AND URBAN AGENDA. PROJECT CATEGORY WINNER
TYPSA is delighted to be part of the award-winning ‘Via Irún’ project team that modified the Urban Development Plan affecting railway land in Irún. A central mixed-use hub around the high-speed train station and a public transport interchange are the main features of this urban renewal project which boosts TML (transport, mobility and logistics) and was developed with a gender-sensitive approach.
4TH NATIONAL ALBERT SERRATOSA CITY AND TERRITORY AWARD 2020
The Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers (CICCP) and the Caminos Foundation awarded the local action category prize to the ‘Green Streets: Cristóbal de Moura’ project delivered by the Barcelona Municipal Institute of Urban Planning. The award recognises the project’s contribution to SDGs through innovative and singular urban naturalisation solutions. TYPSA Group is a member of the award-winning team through its subsidiary Green Blue Management, which calculated and modelled the SUDS, green infrastructure that enhances the city of Barcelona’s liveability and resilience.

SPANISH INSTITUTION OF CIVIL ENGINEERS MADRID CHAPTER AWARDS 2020 FOR Best Public Infrastructure
The winner of this year’s Award is the Canalejas Complex, where a single multi-use complex now occupies 7 historic buildings, 2 of them classified as Cultural Interest Assets (BIC). TYPSA Group’s subsidiary MC2 provided detailed design and construction assistance services for the structures. The Group is proud to share this award with the developers, designers and contractors after successfully overcoming the challenge of preserving the historic façades.
SPANISH INSTITUTION OF CIVIL ENGINEERS MADRID CHAPTER AWARDS 2020 FOR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, SOLIDARITY AND SUSTAINABILITY
TYPSA Foundation for Development, together with UPM (Madrid Polytechnic University), won the award for its Creation and Development of the University of Lake Albert (UNILAC) project in Mahagi, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Ground Engineering Awards 2020 in the UK Geotechnical Team of the Year category
The SCS Design House team comprising ARUP, TYPSA and STRABAG has won the award for its work on the design of the HS2 High Speed Project in London.

3rd International Agustín de Betancourt Infrastructure Award 2019
The Caminos Foundation and the Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers gave the award to the Doha Metro project between Doha and Al Wakra. TYPSA and its consortium partners won the award as lead designer developing the detailed design.
ENR Award of Merit 2019, Sports/Entertainment
Wanda Metropolitano Stadium won the Engineering News Record (ENR) sports/entertainment award of merit. TYPSA Group is part of the winning team through its subsidiary MC2, which provided concept design services and was the engineering firm in charge of the detailed structural and foundation design and construction supervision assistance.
ENR Global Best Projects Award 2019, Rail
Engineering News Record (ENR) magazine’s Best Project award for Rail went to Doha Metro Red Line South Elevated & At Grade. TYPSA and its consortium partners won the award as the lead designer of the detailed design for the Red Line South D&B contract.
3rd National Albert Serratosa City and Territory Award 2019
The Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers (CICCP) awarded this prize in recognition of the massive urban transformation project comprising the M-30 (now Calle 30) urban motorway tunnels and the Madrid Río urban park, built on top of the tunnels along both banks of the River Manzanares. The award acknowledges the project’s ‘contribution to the sustainable development of the city of Madrid in the medium and long term’. TYPSA Group is a member of the winning team having participated in many of the underground section projects and prepared the park’s preliminary and detailed landscaping and urban development, civil works, MEP and structural designs.
12th Caminos Madrid Awards from the Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers. Best Municipal Infrastructure Award
The Madrid Chapter of the Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers has awarded its 2019 Best Infrastructure Award to the: ‘Wanda Metropolitano Stadium Outside Area’, which covers 1,200,000 m2 and features different landscapes and environments. TYPSA Group forms part of the award-winning team together with developers, designers and construction companies, through its subsidiary GBM, which applied Sustainable Drainage Systems (SUDS) to define the drainage strategy and prepare the stormwater network calculations for the development of the area outside the stadium accesses.
Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) 2019 Award
2019 Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) Award. The UK Association for Project Management (APM) Awards recognised the design team responsible for the Healthy by Design Programme, HS2 Phase2b, as this year’s HSSE Award winner. TYPSA shares the award with its JV partners.
Fidic Awards
The International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) 2019 Outstanding Project of the Year Award was presented at the Conference in Mexico City to MC2 TYPSA Group for the Widening of the Bridge over the Rande Strait.
LOI 130 International Architectural Prize
First prize in the LOI 130 International Architectural Competition organised by the European Commission. TYPSA and its subsidiary MC2 are part of the winning team of the International Architectural Competition for the design to replace ageing EU institution buildings in Brussels based on sustainability and energy efficiency
Honorary Distinction
Honorary Distinction granted by the UAE Federal Transport Authority (FTA). The award was presented in acknowledgement of the quality of the work carried out for the FTA in the “Feasibility Study on implementing a lorry tolling system on federal roads in UAE”.
METIS Sustainable Infrastructure
PVGRAd, a novel 3D simulation tool for grading and structural optimization of photovoltaic solar power plants, developed entirely in AZTEC’s headquarters in Phoenix, has won Arizona State University’s ‘2019 METIS Sustainable Infrastructure’ award.
Murcia Region Civil Works Award
The Port of Cartagena Cruise Terminal eastern expansion has won the Murcia Region Civil Works Award, organised by the Regional Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure and the Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers in the Region of Murcia. TYPSA provided the detailed design for the pier expansion, the ship manoeuvrability study, structural calculations for the floating caissons and construction supervision assistance, making us part of the winning team.

TYPSA is the proud winner of two awards:
■ Ground Investigation Project of the Year Under GBP 2M for the Carrizal Hydroelectric Project.
■ International Project of the Year for the Trujillo Bridge Underpass
Outstanding Structure Awards IABSE
International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE) Outstanding Structure Awards 2019 – Finalist: ‘Widening of the bridge over the Rande Strait’. Our subsidiary, MC2, provided the conceptual and detailed structural designs and technical construction supervision assistance, making TYPSA Group part of the prize-winning team.

Bentley Year in Infrastructure
Bentley Year in Infrastructure 2018 Awards: The winner in the Rail and Transit category was the HS2 Main Works Civil Contract S1 and S2 (UK High Speed Rail network linking London to Manchester and Leeds in the north) for ‘going digital’ and for its innovative BIM approach. TYPSA shares the award with its JV partners.
Acueducto de Segovia Award
The Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers has awarded the 2018 Acueducto de Segovia Infrastructure and Environment Award to the “AP-9 Capacity Expansion. Section: Rande Bridge” project. This pio- neering project to widen this cable-stayed bridge is one of the first of its kind in the world. MC2, TYPSA Group’s subsidiary, completed the design and provided construction supervision services, and now shares this award with the owners and contractors.

Best Municipal Infrastructure Award
The Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers in Madrid awarded the Best Municipal Infrastructure Award 2017 to the “Estadio Wanda Metropolitano” – the new Atlético de Madrid football stadium. TYPSA Group was on the winning team through its subsidiary, MC2, which provided services for concept and detailed structural design and construction supervision assistance.
ACHE Structural Engineering Award
ACHE, the Spanish Structural Engineering Association recognised two TYPSA projects in the 3rd
edition of its awards:
■ Best Building Structure Award for the Orona Zero building, structure designed by TYPSA Group’s
subsidiary MC2 Estudio de Ingeniería.
■ Best Structural Innovation Award for the viaduct over the River Ulla. TYPSA provided construction
supervision.
International Sustainable Building Award Your BREEAM
Members of the public chose the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) AA3 building as the “Your BREEAM” 2017 International Sustainable Building Award winner in the “New Office Buildings” category. TYPSA is proud to be part of the winning team as the engineering provider.
San Telmo Award
The Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers in Galicia awarded the 2017 San Telmo Award to the team responsible for the Third A Coruña Ring Road project. TYPSA provided construction engineering services on the Galicia Regional Government section, making the firm part of the award-winning team together with developers, construction companies and designers.

Rafael Izquierdo Award for Solidarity
TYPSA has won the 2016 Rafael Izquierdo Award for Solidarity in recognition of its work creating “Lake Albert University” School of Civil Engineering in Mahagi, eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. The award was given by the Spanish Professional Association of Civil Engineers through the Fundación Caminos.
Project Management Award
TYPSA won the Cesine Publishing Group’s Project 2016 award, an annual prize recognising performance, leadership and high professional standards in Project Management in Spain. The award was presented at the XVIII Conference on Project and Construction Management in Construction and Engineering.
“Bonus Prevención” Diploma
Mutua Universal presented TYPSA with the Bonus Prevención [health and safety bonus] diploma for its commitment to reducing workplace accidents and promoting health and safety.

Viaduct over the River Ulla Awards
■ Honourable Mention from the Spanish Professional Association of Civil Engineers at the
Aqueduct of Segovia Infrastructure Awards 2015.
■ TYPSA was also a finalist in the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering
(IABSE) Outstanding Structure Awards 2016.
■ The Professional Association of Civil Engineer’s of Galicia named the viaduct winner of the San
Telmo Award.

Fidic Awards
The International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) presented the FIDIC Awards 2015 at its annual conference held in Dubai. TYPSA Group won the Award of Merit for its preliminary and detailed design of the Guarulhos International Airport Expansion project.
Agustín de Betancourt International Infrastructure Awards
The Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers, through the Caminos Foundation, awarded TYPSA the Honourable Mention in the 2015 First Agustín de Betancourt International Infrastructure Awards, for the Preliminary and Final Design of the São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport Expansion.

Fidic Awards
The International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) Awards recognised, three TYPSA
Group engineering projects as being among the world’s best built in the last 10 years.
■ Outstanding Project of the Year (Highest Award): Madrid M-30 M- Río (project presented
by Tecniberia on behalf of the consulting engineering firms TYPSA, Intecsa-Inarsa, Acciona
Ingeniería and Ginprosa).
■ Award of Merit: designs for Santander Group City.
■ Award of Merit: designs for Tucuruí Locks, Brazil, delivered by our subsidiary Engecorps.

National Civil Engineering Award
The Spanish Ministry of Public Works presented the National Civil Engineering Award 2013 to Pablo Bueno Sainz,Chairman of TYPSA, in recognition of his valuable contribution to civil engineering. Acueducto de Segovia Award
The Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos (Spain’s official professional body for Civil Engineers) has awarded the Acueducto de Segovia Prize 2013 to the Venta de Cárdenas – Santa Elena section of the A-4 Southern Highway. The jury said that the infrastructure “provides a solution to the old Despeñaperros mountain pass and finally overcomes one of the great road obstacles in our complex mountainous terrain”. TYPSA, as the designer, is part of the awardwinning team that includes the developers, contractors and construction supervisors.
Engineering Excellence Awards competition
TYPSA Group ́s subsidiary, AZTEC, is among those distinguished by the “American Council of Engineering Companies of Arizona (ACEC AZ)” in the Engineering Excellence Awards competition 2013, for its design of the “US 89 Interim Detour, US 89T (Route N20)”. The award is in recognition of the exceptional level of innovation, complexity and team coordination during the design of the bypass resulting in minimal environmental impact, and completed in less than 2 months.
San Telmo Award
The Punta Langosteira port facilities have been awarded the 2013 San Telmo Prize given by the Official Institution of Civil Engineers of Galicia. TYPSA is proud to be a part of this honour as the lead company in the Temporary Joint Venture which has provided Construction Engineering and Inspection services for the past seven years.

LEED Gold Certificate
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has awarded TYPSA Headquarters LEED Gold Certification for Existing Buildings, 2012. LEED Certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) identifies buildings designed and built using strategies geared towards the achievement of high performance in key environmental areas: sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy efficiency, materials and indoor air quality.
Acueducto de Segovia Award
The V Edition of the 2012 Acueducto de Segovia (Segovia Aqueduct) Prize was awarded by the Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers (CICCP) to the Murcia Regional Government’s System for Urban Waste Water Regeneration and Reuse. TYPSA & Tecnoma were part of the award-winning team having worked on the project with the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Water on a regular basis, delivering design services and technical support as well as the operation supervision of Murcia’s waste water treatment plants.
Acueducto de Segovia Award
The Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers (CICCP) awarded an Honourable Mention in the V Edition of the 2012 Acueducto de Segovia (Segovia Aqueduct) Prize to Acuamed’s Project for the Defense and Environmental Requalification of the River Serpis in Gandía. Tecnoma is part of the winning team having provided engineering services that included technical support to the Environmental Department, the amended construction design and monitoring of environmental work during the guarantee period.

Best Public Works Awards
Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers – Madrid Area, Best Public Works Awards 2010. The “Expansion of the AP-6 Motorway. 3rd Carriageway and Third Guadarrama Tunnel between Valle de los Caídos and San Rafael” project received a Commendation which included TYPSA’s design and construction supervision services.
Best Public Works Awards
Spanish Institution of Civil Engineers – Madrid Area, Best Public Works Awards 2010. The First Prize was awarded to all those involved in the “Madrid Transport Interchanges Plan” promoted by the Madrid Transport Consortium. This included TYPSA as designer of the Moncloa Transport Interchange.
