Ireland has been a key market for TYPSA in recent years, with the Group actively contributing to major initiatives such as Dublin BusConnects, Dublin Area Commuter Rail Kildare Line, and Cork Area Commuter Rail. TYPSA’s expertise in transportation and infrastructure has played an important role in advancing sustainable and efficient mobility solutions throughout the country.
CSEA brings exceptional knowledge of the Irish market and decades of experience in delivering critical infrastructure projects in transport, energy, and urban development. A client-oriented and highly responsive company with 110 employees, CSEA prides itself on providing innovative and practical solutions across all stages of the project lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and supervision, backed by a highly skilled team.
Amongst their most relevant work, we highlight:
The N3 Junction 2 (Snugborough) Interchange upgrade improved access between the N3 National Route and the Blanchardstown and Ballycoolin areas. The project included full signal control at major junctions, ITS integration with DCC Traffic Control, and four new bridge structures over the N3, Tolka River, and two pedestrian/cyclist underpasses. It incorporated BusConnects priority measures, enhanced road safety, new cycleways and pedestrian facilities, and improved connectivity for active travel. Major utility diversions included storm and foul sewers, watermains, and power lines. Geotechnical works featured site investigations, reinforced earth walls, and bridge foundations to support the complex infrastructure.
CSEA served as Civil and Structural Engineers and PSDP for the Dublin Airport Baggage Screening Halls Upgrades, ensuring compliance with Standard 3 of European civil aviation security regulations. The project involved replacing all baggage screening machines and systems in Terminals 1 and 2, increasing capacity to accommodate growing baggage traffic. Extensive enabling works were required before the main construction, including relocating airport operations and diverting critical live underground services, much of which was conducted at night to minimise disruption. The new structure was installed incrementally to maintain airport operations, and all works adhered to BIM Level 2 standards, aligning with the EIR, AIR, and post-contract BEP.
On structural engineering projects, CSEA acts as an integral part of the design team, delivering tailored design solutions for clients. Specialist structural advice is provided across a full range of project sizes, from surveys and reports to the design and management of multi-million euro developments in sectors such as commercial, retail, education, health, institutional, residential, restoration, and conservation.
Data Centres are another of the key business areas for CSEA. From due diligence and site selection to detailed design and site support, CSEA has successfully delivered a total of 65 centres, building a strong network of clients including some pf the key international players. The quality of their work has encouraged those Clients to continue relying on their services when expanding across other European countries due to the electricity supply constraints in Ireland.
By joining TYPSA Group, CSEA strengthens its capabilities through access to the Group’s global resources, technical expertise, and extensive network, while maintaining its strong local presence and commitment to excellence. At the same time, TYPSA consolidates its position as a key player in the Irish market, expanding its footprint and reinforcing its capacity to deliver world-class projects.
This partnership strengthens the shared mission of TYPSA and CSEA to deliver sustainable infrastructure solutions in Ireland, supporting the country’s challenging goals of modernizing transportation, improving energy efficiency, and enhancing connectivity.
