Comunidad #PorElClima was born in 2016 to encourage Spanish society to act on the climate crisis. The aim of this alliance between public administrations, the private sector and social groups is to meet the objectives of the Paris Agreement, Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goal 13. The founders include the Ecology and Development Foundation (ECODES), the Spanish Office for Climate Change, the Ministry for Ecological Transition’s Biodiversity Foundation, the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, the Spanish Network of the Global Compact and the Spanish Group for Green Growth.
Every year, Comunidad por #ElClima launches a call for ‘101 Examples of Corporate Climate Actions’ to encourage more public sector involvement, selecting the best company and private initiatives. In 2020, the third edition focused on contributions to decarbonisation.
TYPSA was the only engineering company to be selected on this occasion, for its ‘Company Head Office Digital Twin’ R+D project. The project contributes to the decarbonisation of buildings and infrastructure throughout their entire lifecycle and includes capacity building and training as important project features.
